Off Course

Program of 13 Super 8 Films

Off Course was a survey of my work originally screened at 8Fest in 2019. Envisioned as a queer off road adventure, the survey shows work from 2003 to 2018, and includes new work specifically made for the program. Examples from the program are below.

Rat Rod Reversed

Shot on Super 8 in a dusty auto detailing shop in Lachine, PQ in 2016, C.T. gets down to work dusting a 'Rat Rod.' Both a homage to and reimagining of Kenneth Anger's 1965 film 'Kustom Kar Kommando.' Starring C.T. Thorne, and special thanks to Federal Detailing for the use of their facilities.

The King and I

Also known as the film ‘my sister’s x-boyfriend’, this is documentation of elvis impersonator Thane Dunn playing the Rebecca Cohn Auditorium in Halifax, 2005. Music by Alan Vega, reinterpreted by Scott Harwood.
